God’s Garden
GOD’S GARDEN
"if you pour yourself out for the hungry and satisfy the desire of the afflicted, then shall your light rise in the darkness and your gloom be as the noonday." Isaiah 58:10
Oasis Vineyard is a church that is fully committed to serving our community and those who are in need. God’s Garden is one way that we bless others with what God has given us. In 2024, the garden produced over 9,500 pounds of produce that was distributed throughout Hermiston and the surrounding cities. We increased our growing space and added more varieties of vegetables in 2025. That trend for expanding our varieties and ability to give has continued into our 2026 season.
There are many ways to participate with our garden ministry. Our helpers can serve by planting, picking, weeding, and distributing produce. We also have teams that preserve fresh vegetables through canning, cooking and freeze drying. Our desire is to allow as many people as possible to join us in serving others. In addition to our own distribution of vegetables we are blessed to partner with so many other great ministries and organizations. We regularly work with Agape House, Good Shepherd Hospital, Euvalcree, FeedHermiston.org, Hermiston Senior Center, Stepping Stones Alliance, Made to Thrive, Mirasol Family Health Center, Stanfield food pantry, Echo food pantry, TruCare, and Food Hero (Oregon State University extension).
Feel free to check Facebook, the Oasis website, or Church Center for dates and times that we will pick produce. Volunteers are gladly received and any help is a blessing. Produce distribution will start in the summer, most likely in July, and take place every Thursday evening at God’s Garden on the church lawn. Check back for more information about our garden giveaways as we get further into the summer and closer to the harvest being ready.
